I just copied yours over and drew on top for about 10-15 minutes just to show the decisions I would make when looking at the shapes. I don't think the likeness is any better because I think he's not instantly recognizable from the picture. The eyes, nose, and mouth shapes are pretty good. The things I really noticed that needed changing were the jaw and hair shapes and the position of the mouth and adam's apple.
